Bobby has always been a collector of old items.  In his office, you will find the original front page of the Memphis Commercial Appeal newspaper, the Nashville Tennesseean newspaper, and The Jackson Sun newspaper when the following events occurred:

• Columbia is lost

• Gerald Ford becomes President

• Challenger explodes

• Nixon resigns

• Watergate jury convictions

• President Kennedy is assignated

• Oswald is slain

• Gunman wounds Reagan

Among other collectibles, Bobby has the original checks his grandfather wrote on The Bank of Luray in 1918 and checks his father wrote in the 1950's,  Additionally, in the collection are various business papers of his ancestors dating back into the 1910's, 1920's, 1930's, 1940's, and 1950's.  He has the last letter his father, John Henry Cogdell, wrote him in 1959, shortly before his death.

Bobby's Stamp Collection

 The collection of stamps honors people and events.  Some of these people and events include Elvis, Johnny Cash, Clark Gable, Charleston Heston, Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogat, James Dean, famous golfers, endangered species, American motorcycles, Civil War, baseball sluggers, national parks, medals of honor, early football heroes, and many many more.

When major events happen, Bobby saves the entire paper, such as "TRUMP WINS" or 'CASTRO DIES" or "OBAMA ELECTED", etc.
